What you can play
- Play the computer. Four ends of singles against an opponent at your level, from a Starter still learning line and length to an International who rarely misses.
- Play online. Quick match pairs you with whoever's about, or share a room code with a friend. Each of you bowls on your own screen and watches the other's bowls run.
- “Over to You, Skip!” The daily puzzle: the head is set, one bowl remains, and it's yours to save the end.
- Practice. Roll as many bowls as you like, or take the guided lesson on the green.
- Members. A free account carries your record across devices and lets you play in leagues against other members.
How it works
Bias simulates each bowl from the moment it leaves your hand: the weight you give it, the line you choose, the bias of the set you're playing and the pace of the green, measured in seconds the way bowlers do. The computer bowlers play by exactly the same rules as you. They simply judge it better or worse depending on their level.
The whole game runs in your browser. Online matches pass each delivery between the two players, so both screens always agree on where every bowl finished.
Who makes it
Bias is made independently in the UK. There are no ads and nothing to buy: the game is kept going by players who choose to buy us a coffee on Ko-fi.
Get in touch
Questions, ideas and bug reports are all welcome. The quickest way to reach us, and other players, is the Bias Clubhouse on Facebook. You can also send a message through Ko-fi.
